It was decided by the CSS that the CDC this year will be given in a virutual format. The revised online registration rates have been announced here. Please do not miss the opportunity for financial support for CSS students! See here for details. The CDC 2020 program is now finalized and is online here. Please note that the conference dates have changed. The virtual program is organized over 5 days, with only 4.5 hours workload per day, scheduled to start at 13:00 (1:00 pm) Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Moreover, the conference will take place one week later than was originally planned. The virtual sessions schedule will comprise 17 parallel tracks including Tutorial Sessions and COVID-19 Focus Sessions. The regular and invited sessions will comprise 15-minute slots including the presentation video and the Q&A live session (more info about the pre-recorded presentation videos will be sent to the authors in due course).
The CSS President Anu Annsawamy has a message addressed to everyone considering to attend the CDC 2020 at this rapidly changing time: To the CDC community (in PDF).
Please carefully read the detailed guidelines on the health and safety of all attendees (in PDF) for CDC 2020.
The CDC organizers and IEEE CSS are closely monitoring the developments of COVID-19. We will also develop plans for dealing with a number of contingencies that may arise in this rapidly evolving situation. These plans will be enacted as needed in consultation with the IEEE and announced on this webpage. Video/remote presentation and participation will be explored as needed. We would like to emphasize that we are taking all possible steps to ensure a safe, engaging, and innovative CDC 2020 in Jeju Island, South Korea. The health and safety of our members and participants is our top priority. Before traveling to the conference, we recommend that you stay informed of any information your local health agencies may make available and take reasonable precautions to protect yourself. IEEE continues to closely monitor this dynamic situation and will provide updates with any developments. The following proactive steps are being taken to maintain a safe and healthy environment at CDC 2020:
Richard Braatz and Chung Choo Chung, General Co-Chairs of CDC 2020
Due to the developing situation in various parts of the world, the deadlines for submission to the IEEE Control Systems Letters (with CDC option) and the submission of initial contributions to the CDC 2020 have been postponed by two weeks. Please note that this two-week extension is firm and will not be postponed, so as to preserve the quality of the reviewing process of the submitted contributions. |
